Compassion Katy’s Spring Workday on March 28th was a huge success!
We had 68 volunteers representing 4 churches, 3 high schools and two organizations giving 600 work hours and blessing the Katy YMCA’s Camp Cinco on Mason Rd. We successfully completed all of the projects on our list in one day! A big thank you goes out to all our volunteers who worked so diligently and accomplished so much! We would not have been able to achieve so much without all our wonderful partners in this project-
Grand Lakes Presbyterian
The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch
Epiphany Catholic Church
The Vineyard Church of Katy
The Katy ARC Volunteers
Katy Family YMCA Volunteers
Cinco Ranch High School Student Volunteers, Seven Lakes High School Student Volunteers, and Taylor High School Student Volunteers
Epiphany Catholic Church donated funds to build a handicap access ramp that will be used weekly by the ARC of Katy. Vineyard Church of Katy provided a wonderful lunch of barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs- complete with all the fixings, and extra special thanks to Chip Ollre who came out and prepared the meal for us!
We look forward to even bigger successes as we start gearing up for Katy ServeFest 2009 coming up this summer! Don’t forget to check the website for updates, we’d love to have you come out and serve with us again!
