Katy ServeFest 2010 was an huge success, but we couldn’t have done it without our awesome volunteers.  There were many hard working volunteers at both sites on both weekends, but we would like to honor a specific volunteer from the Katy YMCA Camp Cinco site as our Spring Cheers to Volunteers award winner.

Curtiss Walker, age 14, is an incredible worker, he worked hard both weekends, taking the lead on several jobs.  Curtiss worked tirelessly leading a team of volunteers cutting new trails through the woods at Camp Cinco among many other jobs.   He has volunteered at every Katy ServeFest event since Compassion Katy began sponsoring Katy ServeFest in 2006.
