Katy Challenger Baseball Volunteers Needed

Be a Baseball Buddy to help challenged children play the game. Buddies can be any age adult or Junior or Sr High Student. No special training is required.

A Buddy’s job is to simply be a friend: engage the child in a conversation, if possible; help him/her hit, throw, catch the ball, if needed; keep the child’s attention on the game and make sure no one gets hit by the ball. This is a truly rewarding experience for both the players and the buddies. The best part is that buddies free up the parents, who can then take a much-deserved break and sit in the bleachers and cheer for all the children.

Games are held on weekends at the Katy American Baseball Complex at 24927 Morton Rd, Katy 77493.  Buddies need to show up 30 minutes prior to game time so they can be divided up among the teams.
