Compassion Katy has been hard at work getting ready for Katy ServeFest 2009!  Planning meetings, working with the Katy YMCA and The Krause Center to identify the needs and projects that we’ll be working on this summer, starting to seek out donations for materials to complete these important tasks. 

Spring Workday found our volunteers working hard at the Katy YMCA’s Camp Cinco, we completed a few projects as well as started laying the ground work for some of the items on the list for this summer.   One of the biggest blessings from the Spring Workday was the completion of an access ramp up to the main lodge building at the site.  The Katy ARC uses this facility on a daily basis and this ramp is being put to good use and is very appreciated by the ARC staff and clients.
