Compassion Katy, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County, Katy Area Churches, Local Businesses and Volunteers kicked off the Compassion Katy Habitat project to provide a safe, affordable home for a hard-working, low-income family.

Construction on the Compassion Katy sponsored home started in the Lancaster subdivision, Great Elms Drive, Cypress, TX 77433, September 19, 2016 and is expected to be completed February 27, 2016.

Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County will be hosting the upcoming dedication ceremony for the first home Saturday, March 12, 2016. Compassion Katy volunteers will have the honor of participating in this ceremony alongside the homeowner, Susan Zepeda.  We are looking forward to having our volunteers join us for this very exciting ceremony

Thanks to generous sponsors and volunteers, we are well on our way to raising the funds needed to build the 2nd Compassion Katy Habitat House in the Lancaster Subdivision, Cypress, TX. We anticipate construction on the second home to start early Spring 2016.  Compassion Katy and Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County is looking forward to working alongside the very dedicated Katy Area Volunteers to build a house for another hard-working, low-income family!  Stay tuned for invitations for volunteer opportunities!

We are making a big push to raise the remaining $20,000.

It is only by the generous hearts of sponsors and volunteers that we can be successful in our efforts to build safe, affordable homes for hardworking, low-income families.
