Compassion Katy’s 2011 Katy ServeFest was our best work event ever! Thanks to the 400 volunteers over multiple weekends, we were able to bless our community with more than $43,000 in volunteer labor value! We appreciate each and every volunteer that came out and served, Katy ServeFest cannot happen without a dedicated team of volunteers to lead the projects, so we’d like to extend a special thanks to our work site leaders, Randy Carter, Mike Hulett, Mel Hancock, Thomas Larvin and Steve Nordlander.  A HUGE thank you to Bren Petroski for donating her time and talents by baking two beautiful cakes that were served to our volunteers during the second weekend.
